(Sports Network) – Washington came up short in overtime Wednesday night,
dropping a 103-99 decision to the New Jersey Nets at the MCI Center.

22 with 13 rebounds for Washington, which has dropped four straight and six of
its last seven contests.

Washington played essentially the whole game without Jerry Stackhouse, who was
tossed after receiving his second technical of the contest with 3:16 left in
the first quarter. He finished with two points and one rebound.

Washington has allowed at least 100 points 32 times (5-27) this season. Both
teams combined for 46 turnovers.

Prior to the game Washington activated Lonny Baxter from the injured list and
placed Christian Laettner on the injured list with lower back spasms.

Wizards guard Juan Dixon missed his second consecutive game with a sprained
ankle. It is unknown when Dixon will return to the court.

The Wizards have a day off before facing the Minnesota Timberwolves at the
Target Center. Washington has three of its next four games on the road. For
the year, Washington owns a league-worst 7-30 road mark.
