(Sports Network) – The Philadelphia 76ers lost to the Portland Trail
Blazers, 88-82, on Thursday at the Wachovia Center.

Philadelphia is in 10th place in the Eastern Conference, 2 1/2 games behind
the Boston Celtics for the eighth and final playoff spot.

Willie Green scored a career-high 22 points for the Sixers, who had a seven-
game home winning streak snapped and lost for the second time in three games.
Kenny Thomas posted 14 points and 12 rebounds for Philadelphia, while Samuel
Dalembert finished with 11 points and a career-high 19 rebounds.

The rookie Green has scored in double digits in four of his last six games. He
has averaged 13.8 points in his last six contests.

The Sixers are off until Saturday when they host the New York Knicks. It will
be the fourth and final meeting of the season between the two squads.
Philadelphia is 1-2 against the Knicks.
