(Sports Network) – The Washington Wizards continued their season-long misery
on Friday with a 91-73 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target

Jerry Stackhouse netted 14 points for the Wizards, who dropped their fifth
straight game. and lost for the seventh time in their last eight contests.

On the injury front guard Juan Dixon returned to the court after missing two
games with an ankle injury and contributed 11 points in 24 minutes off the
bench in the losing effort. However, Kwame Brown (ankle) and Larry Hughes
(Achilles’) both missed the contest.

The Wizards have dropped nine of 10 on the road and are 7-31 away from home
this year.

Washington will return to the court on Sunday when they host the Boston
Celtics. The Wizards, who are winless in their eight Sunday games this season,
have lost two straight and five of their last seven at home and are 16-22 in
their arena this season.

The Wizards have lost three times already this season to the Celtics and have
dropped four straight in the series. Washington has also been a generous host
to Boston, losing seven of its last 10 at home.
