(Sports Network) – Devin Brown netted a career-high 19 points and grabbed
seven rebounds to lead San Antonio over Utah, 94-81, on Friday at the Delta
Center.

Tim Duncan added 18 points and 10 boards for the Spurs, who have won seven of
eight and nine of their last 12 contests. The Timberwolves, who also won on
Friday, still hold a 1 1/2 game advantage over the Spurs in the Midwest
Division.

The Spurs have dominated this series in recent years, winning 17 consecutive
meetings. San Antonio has actually won eight consecutive regular season trips
to Salt Lake City.

San Antonio, which will wrap up a brief two-game road trip against the LA
Lakers on Sunday, has not been good on the road lately, losing four of five
and five of its last seven contests. On the season, the Spurs are 21-17 away
from home.

The Spurs have dropped all three meetings with the Lakers this season, but
have won five of the last nine matchups. San Antonio, though, has lost three
of five and four of its last seven in LA against the Lakers.
