(Sports Network) – Kurt Thomas scored 15 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to
lead the New York Knicks to an 86-75 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on
Saturday at the Wachovia Center.

Stephon Marbury scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Knicks, who have sole
possession of seventh place in the Eastern Conference playoff race. Nazr
Mohammed contributed to the win with 16 points and eight rebounds.

The Knicks, who will close their three-game road trip in Indiana on Tuesday,
won for the first time in four tries on the road last night and improved to
14-24 away from home this season.

Prior to the game,m New York activated center Dikembe Mutombo, who had been
out since February 29 with an abdominal injury, from the injured list.
However, he did not play.

To make room for Mutombo on the roster, the Knicks placed forward Othella
Harrington on the injured list.
