=== Portland Trail Blazers Team Report – April 4 ===

(Sports Network) – The Portland Trail Blazers playoff hopes took a hit on
Saturday, as they were on the losing end of a 94-81 decision against the New
Orleans Hornets at the Rose Garden.

Zach Randolph paced the Trail Blazers with 17 points and eight boards for
Portland, which fell a half-game behind idle Denver for the eighth and final
playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Darius Miles and Shareef Abdur-Rahim each netted 14 in defeat for the Blazers,
who had a two-game winning streak snapped.

The Blazers, who shot over 50 percent for most of the first half, made just
six of 19 shots in the third quarter.

Portland, which has been to the postseason the last 21 years, had its two-game
home-winning streak stopped and slipped to 24-14 at home this season.

The Blazers will return to action on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Lakers.
