Houston Rockets Team Report – April 5

=== Houston Rockets Team Report – April 5 ===

(Sports Network) – The Houston Rockets’ playoff chances are starting to
become less of a sure thing, as they dropped their fourth consecutive game on
Sunday with a 99-94 setback to the Sacramento Kings.

Yao Ming posted 21 points and 10 rebounds for the Rockets, who have dropped
five of six and eight of their last 11.

The Rockets have yet to clinch a playoff spot, but will likely be the seventh
seed in the Western Conference when the postseason begins. However, thanks to
their recent slide, they have seen their advantage over the eighth-place teams
dwindle to just 2 1/2 games.

Denver and Utah are currently tied for the final spot in the West.

Houston, which will begin a two-game road trip on Tuesday against the Golden
State Warriors, has lost seven of 10 and nine of its last 13 on the road and
is 16-21 away from home this season.

The Rockets have taken two of three from the Warriors this year and have won
six of eight, 10 of 13 and 12 of the last 16 meetings. Houston has also won
six of nine and 10 of its last 15 at home in this series.

Houston is 6-3 in Tuesday games.
