(Sports Network) – Seattle picked up a 96-88 win over the New Orleans Hornets
at KeyArena on Sunday.

Ray Allen poured in a game-high 25 points to pace the Sonics to the win. Brent
Barry and Rashard Lewis each chipped in 14 points for the Sonics, who
snapped a four-game losing streak. Barry added nine rebounds and Lewis grabbed
seven. Ronald Murray and Calvin Booth each netted 12 points for Seattle

Seattle took total control of the game in the first 4 1/2 minutes of the
second half with an 11-4 run to grab a commanding 63-44 advantage. Barry
scored seven points during the spurt and capped it with a three-pointer from
the top of the key, while Allen added a pair of layups.

Barry drained another long-range shot three minutes later to expand the
Sonics’ lead to 72-49. Allen answered his teammate’s performance and knocked
down back-to-back threes to put Seattle up 80-57 after 36 minutes. The Sonics
cruised down the stretch.

With the win, Seattle swept the two-game season series versus the Hornets. The
Sonics won in New Orleans back on March 19.

the Hornets in 10 of the last 11 meetings in the series.

Seattle has won four of its last five home games. For the season, the Sonics
are 20-19 at home.

The Sonics have five games left on their schedule, including Tuesday’s trip to
Dallas to battle the Mavericks. Seattle continues its two-game Texas trip in
San Antonio on Wednesday.
