(Sports Network) – Lamar Odom scored 28 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, as
the Miami Heat defeated the Boston Celtics, 84-77, on Monday at the
FleetCenter.

Rafer Alston chipped in 15 points and Dwyane Wade added 11 for Miami, which
has won 13 of its last 16 games.

The Heat are now tied with Milwaukee for the fourth spot in the Eastern
Conference. The Bucks, who hold the tiebreaker advantage over Miami, lost to
Cleveland on Monday.

Miami was still clinging to a one-point advantage at 71-70, before going on a
9-2 spurt, culminated by Odom’s three-pointer, to increase the margin to eight
with just two minutes left.

After Brandon Hunter converted a three-point play for Boston, Alston responded
with a three-point shot from the corner to seal it.

Miami will close its regular season on Wednesday against the New Jersey Nets.
