(Sports Network) – Bob Sura posted his third straight triple- double with 22
points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds to lead the Atlanta Hawks to a 129-107 win
over New Jersey at Philips Arena.
Sura capped his triple-double as he intentionally missed a layup attempt with
a second remaining in the game and brought down the board as the buzzer
sounded. It marked the first time a player has registered a triple-double in
three straight games since Grant Hill turned the trick in April of 1997.
Terry dropped in a season-high 30 points for the Hawks, who have won three
straight. Stephen Jackson and Chris Crawford scored 23 and 22 points,
respectively, as the Hawks avoided being swept by the Nets in a season for the
first time in franchise history.
The Hawks shot 10-of-16 from three-point range in the opening half and tied a
franchise-high for three-pointers made in a half.
Travis Hansen added 14 points for the Hawks, while Boris Diaw-Riffiod pulled
down 10 rebounds. As a team, Atlanta made 17-of-25 three-point attempts for a
68 percent clip.
Atlanta closes its season on Wednesday in Boston.
