(Sports Network) – The New Jersey Nets found themselves on the wrong end of
a 129-107 decision against the lowly Atlanta Hawks on Monday at Philips Arena.

Jason Kidd led the Nets with 15 points, while Zoran Planinic and Brandon
Armstrong each added 14 points. New Jersey, which will enter the Eastern
Conference playoffs as the Atlantic Division champions and the No. 2 seed,
have lost eight of its last 11 on the road.

Atlanta led 98-75 after three quarters and led by as much as 31 in the fourth
period at 127-96 on a Jason Terry three-pointer from the left wing. The Nets
never got closer than the final margin in the second half.

Kenyon Martin and Jefferson netted 11 apiece for New Jersey, which lost for
just the second time this season when topping the century mark in a contest

New Jersey closes its regular season on Wednesday against the Miami Heat.
