Washington Wizards Team Report – April 13

=== Washington Wizards Team Report – April 13 ===

(Sports Network) – The Washington Wizards miserable season continued on
Monday with a 101-79 loss to the red-hot Detroit Pistons at the Palace of
Auburn Hills.

Gilbert Arenas, who didn’t start for the Wizards, led his team with 20 points.
Larry Hughes added 19 for Washington, which has lost two straight and 10 of
its last 13.

Trailing 60-58 with 3:03 left in the third, Detroit went on a 22-2 run to take
control of the game. The Pistons ended the third scoring 14 of 16 points for a
72-62 advantage and then scored the first eight points of the fourth for an
80-62 lead. Mike James had 14 points during the run, hitting four treys, one
to start the run with 2:47 left in the third and one to end it with 10:26
remaining.

Washington would never threaten after that.

The Wizards, whose season will come to a close on Wednesday against New
Orleans, have dropped six of seven and 11 of their last 13 on the road and are
a miserable 8-33 away from home this year.
