Los Angeles Clippers Team Report – April 14

=== Los Angeles Clippers Team Report – April 14 ===

(Sports Network) – The Los Angeles Clippers’ miserable season comes to a
close tonight when they welcome the Seattle SuperSonics to the Staples Center.

The Clippers did not qualify for the postseason for the seventh straight year,
while the Sonics missed the postseason for the second straight season.

This is the fourth meeting of the season between the two clubs. Seattle won
the three previous contests. The Sonics last swept a season-series from the
Clippers in the 2000-01 season.

On Tuesday, Chris Wilcox’s putback with less than a second left lifted the
Clippers to a 98-96 win over the Phoenix Suns at America West Arena.
Wilcox finished with a career-high 24 points to go with 13 rebounds as Los
Angeles snapped a season-long 13-game losing streak.

Elton Brand recorded 30 points and 11 boards for the Clippers, who are tied
with Phoenix for the worst record in the Western Conference.

The Clippers are 18-22 as the host this season.

Seattle has won five straight and nine of the last 10 contests in this series.
The Sonics have won three straight games as the visitor against the Clippers.
