Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) – Minnesota Timberwolves forward Wally
Szczerbiak underwent an MRI exam which revealed three transverse process
fractures of his lumbar spine.
The injury, which occurred during the Timberwolves’ 107-86 loss to Denver in
Game 3, is expected to keep Szczerbiak sidelined for the remainder of the
opening round series against the Nuggets.
Szczerbiak, who will be re-evaluated on a week-to week basis, is averaging
10.3 points in three playoff games.
Minnesota leads the best-of-seven series 2-1 with Game 4 scheduled for Tuesday
night at the Pepsi Center in Denver.
