Sacramento, CA (Sports Network) – Peja Stojakovic scored 22 points and grabbed
eight rebounds, as Sacramento forced a decisive seventh game in their Western
Conference semifinal series against Minnesota with a 104-87 victory over the
Timberwolves in Game 6 at ARCO Arena.
Minnesota, the top seed in the Western Conference, will host Game 7 on
Brad Miller collected 17 points, seven boards and five assists for Sacramento,
which will be involved in a seventh game in the conference semifinals for the
second straight year. The Kings dropped Game 7 to Dallas in the second round
of the 2003 playoffs.
Mike Bibby and Doug Christie each netted 16 points for the Kings. Bibby also
handed out 10 assists.
Latrell Sprewell paced Minnesota with 27 points. Kevin Garnett contributed 19
points, 10 rebounds and five assists for the Timberwolves, who are attempting
to capture their second consecutive playoff series after having never advanced
past the first round prior to the 2004 post-season.

hit a key jumper in the closing seconds, as Detroit forced a decisive
seventh game in their Eastern Conference semifinal series against New Jersey
with an 81-75 victory over the Nets at Continental Airlines Arena.
Rasheed Wallace contributed 14 points and five rebounds for Detroit, which
will host Game 7 on Thursday.
Chauncey Billups had 11 points and Ben Wallace pulled down 20 boards for the
Pistons, who had dropped the last three games of the series after opening the
set with a pair of easy victories at The Palace.
Detroit has never lost a playoff series after winning the first two contests.
Richard Jefferson paced New Jersey in Game 6 with 23 points to go along with
seven rebounds and five assists. Kenyon Martin collected 19 points and seven
boards for the Nets, who have never rallied from an 0-2 deficit to win a
New Jersey is trying to advance to the Eastern Conference finals for the
third year in a row.
