Timberwolves’ Cassell still bothered by injuries

Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) – The Minnesota Timberwolves might be
without point guard Sam Cassell for Saturday’s Game 5 of their Western
Conference finals series against Los Angeles. Cassell will again be a game-
time decision with nagging back spasms and an injured hip.

Cassell left Game 2 after just 43 seconds, but returned and scored 18 points
in a Game 3 loss. Cassell didn’t start and played only five minutes in the
Wolves’ Game 4 loss on Thursday, going 1-for-4 for three points. Darrick
Martin, started in his place.

Cassell is averaging 16.6 points and 4.4 assists in 16 playoffs games this

The Lakers hold a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.
