LaRusso, original Laker passes away
Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) – Five-time NBA all-star Rudy LaRusso passed
away after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was 66.
LaRusso, who helped the Lakers reach the NBA Finals three times in the early
1960’s, averaged 15.6 points with 9.4 rebounds over his 10-year career.
LaRusso, a power forward with the Lakers in Minneapolis, shined alongside
Hall-of-Famer Elgin Baylor for nearly eight seasons once the franchise moved
to Los Angeles.
LaRusso, a Brooklyn native, was a two-time All-Ivy League selection. He
