Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) – The Atlanta Hawks re-signed center Jason
Collier on Wednesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Collier, who was signed as a free agent on March 8, played in 20 games for the
Hawks last year. He registered career-highs in points (11.3), rebounds (5.6)
and blocks (0.6), while shooting 47.9 percent from the field.

“I’m very excited to be returning to the Hawks,” said Collier. “They gave me
an opportunity last season and I feel like it worked out very well for both of
us. I’m excited about the moves they’ve been putting together here since the
end of the season and I look forward to working with Coach (Mike) Woodson.”

Collier was drafted by the Houston Rockets out of Georgia Tech back in 2000.
In 81 career games, Collier has averaged 5.4 points per game to go along with
3.2 rebounds.
