Sonics’ Potapenko charged by police

Miami, FL (Sports Network) – Seattle SuperSonics center Vitaly Potapenko has
been charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest following a run in
with police outside a Miami nightclub.

Potapenko was arrested early Sunday morning outside a South Beach nightclub.
According to a police report, the center was denied entry into a club because
he was unsteady on his feet, swaying back and forth, slurring his words and
smelling of alcohol.

He was released from jail on $1,500 bail.

No court date has been announced.

Potapenko averaged 9.3 points and 5.8 rebounds in 39 games last season with
the Sonics.
