New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) – The New Orleans Hornets signed free agent
forward/center Chris Andersen on Monday. Per team policy, terms of the contract
were not released.

Andersen, a three-year NBA veteran, holds career averages of 4.0 points, 4.2
rebounds and 1.31 blocks in 154 games with the Nuggets.

Last season, Andersen, 26, averaged 3.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 14.5 minutes
in 71 games with Denver while registering a career-high 114 blocks (1.61 per

athleticism for a player his size and we’re thrilled to be able to add him to
our roster.”

Not drafted by an NBA team, Andersen has also played in China, the
International Basketball League, the International Basketball Association and
the National Basketball Development League. Andersen signed as a free agent
