Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) – The Utah Jazz Friday re-signed center
Jarron Collins to a multi-year contract. As per team policy, financial terms
of the deal were not disclosed.

“Jarron is a solid player and we appreciate what he has done for the team in
the past two years. We believe he will continue to improve,” said Kevin
O’Connor, senior vice president of basketball operations.

Collins, 25, averaged 6.0 points and 3.9 rebounds in 81 games for Utah last
year. The three-year veteran, who missed most of the 2002-03 campaign with an
ACL injury, was initially drafted by the Jazz with the 53rd overall pick in
the 2001 NBA Draft.

For his career, Collins has posted 6.1 points and 3.9 rebounds per contest.
