Bobcats ship Drobnjak to Hawks

Atlanta, Ga. (Sports Network) – The Atlanta Hawks Monday acquired center
Predrag Drobnjak from the Charlotte Bobcats for a second-round selection in
the 2005 NBA draft.

Drobnjak was claimed by the Bobcats from the Los Angeles Clippers in the June
expansion draft as part of an agreement which landed Charlotte the second
overall pick in this year’s draft, where the Bobcats chose University of
Connecticut star Emeka Okafor. The Bobcats sent the no. 4 and no. 33 picks
to Los Angeles.

A three-year NBA veteran, Drobnjak averaged 6.3 points and 3.2 rebounds last
season for the Clippers. The 6’11”, 270-pounder spent his first two years with
Seattle and posted 9.4 points and 3.9 boards per game during the 2002-03

Drobnjak is currently competing for Serbia & Montenegro in the Summer Olympics
in Athens, Greece.
