Knicks’ Houston on IL

New York, NY (Sports Network) – New York Knicks guard Allan Houston will begin
this season where he ended last season, on the injured list. Houston was
placed on the injured list with left knee pain Monday as the club released its
opening night roster.

Houston did not play in any preseason games for the Knicks. He continues to
suffer from knee pain that forced him to miss the end of last season,
including the playoffs, and required offseason surgery.

Last season, Houston averaged 18.5 points per game, playing in a career-low 50
contests.

New York also placed guard Jamison Brewer (sprained right big toe) and center
Bruno Sundov (right Achilles tendinitis) on the injured list Monday.
