San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) – The San Antonio Spurs Tuesday signed point
guard Tony Parker to a multi-year contract extension. Per club policy, terms
of the deal were not disclosed.

Parker, the Spurs’ first-round pick in the 2001 NBA Draft, averaged 14.7
points, 5.5 assists and 3.2 rebounds over 75 games last season.

During his three-year career, Parker has averaged 13.1 points, 5.0 assists and
2.8 boards in 234 contests. He helped lead San Antonio to the NBA championship
in 2003.

The 22-year-old Parker, born in Belgium, was named to the NBA All-Rookie first
team in 2002, the first foreign-born guard to earn the honor.
