Brown has hip surgery
Auburn Hills, MI (Sports Network) – Detroit Pistons head coach Larry Brown
underwent hip surgery Wednesday morning and is expected to be away from the
team for the next 7-to-10 days.
Brown needed the procedure to revise a previous left hip replacement that took
place 15 years ago.
The 64-year-old Brown, who guided Detroit to the NBA title last spring in his
first year with the club, was on the bench Tuesday for the Pistons’ season-
opening 87-79 victory over Houston.
