(Sports Network) – Portland picked up a 78-75 win over the Golden State
Warriors at The Arena in Oakland on Wednesday night.

Nick Van Exel came off the bench to post a game-high 20 points for the
Blazers. Shareef Abdur-Rahim added 18 points for the Trail Blazers, who are
looking to get back into the playoffs after failing to do so for the first
time in 22 years last season.

Golden State led by six heading into the final 12 minutes, but the Trail
Blazers outscored the Warriors 25-16 in the final quarter to tally the

with a 21-7 run. Van Exel capped off the decisive burst on a three-pointer

Portland has won eight of the last 10 meetings, including four of five at
Golden State.

The Blazers have a day off before opening their home slate against the Los
