(Sports Network) – Allen Iverson and the Philadelphia 76ers play the first
of a brief two-game road trip tonight, as they visit Richard Hamilton and the
Detroit Pistons at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

The Sixers travel to New York to meet the Knicks on Tuesday at Madison Square
Garden before returning home for a five-game stretch.

On Friday Philadelphia was soundly defeated by the Phoenix Suns, 108-98, at
the Wachovia Center. Iverson’s 25 points and nine assists led the Sixers, who
stumbled to a loss after coming from behind to beat Boston in their opener on
Wednesday. Iverson made just six of his 20 shots and turned the ball over
seven times.

Philadelphia’s Willie Green came off the bench to score 16 in the loss to the
Suns, while Kenny Thomas netted 13 with 10 rebounds and rookie Andre Igoudala
posted 11 points with eight boards in the loss.

In 2003-04, the Pistons and Sixers split four games as each squad won once at
home and once on the road. Overall, Philadelphia has won four of the last
seven meetings in this series. The Sixers have lost two of their last three at
Detroit.
