(Sports Network) – Corey Maggette poured in a game-high 26 points to lead the
Los Angeles Clippers to a 94-86 win over the Golden State Warriors on Saturday
at The Arena.

Bobby Simmons netted 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Clippers,
who have won two of their first three games to begin the season. Chris Wilcox
scored 14 points and Elton Brand added 13 points and seven boards in the win.

Golden State trailed by nine after three quarters, but pulled within 78-74 on
Richardson’s three-pointer with just under four minutes remaining. The
Warriors, though, could not draw any closer as they were plagued by poor foul
shooting and a terrible percentage from three-point range all night.

The Clippers were 2-of-3 from behind the arc (67 percent) and 24-of-37 from
the charity stripe (65 percent). Los Angeles shot 49 percent from the field

Los Angeles has won two of its first three games for the first time since

Maggette and Wilcox have both averaged 18.7 points per game inthe first three
contests of the season.

The Clippers are off until Monday when they host the Detroit Pistons. Last
season, the Pistons swept the two meetings during the regular season.
