(Sports Network) – The Denver Nuggets were crushed by the Utah Jazz, 106-82,
on Saturday at the Pepsi Center.

Earl Boykins scored a team-high 17 points for the Nuggets, who have lost two
of their initial three games this season. Kenyon Martin added 14 points and
six assists.

Denver guard Carmelo Anthony — who played 30 minutes — converted just 3-of-
20 shots from the field for seven points.

Rodney White registered 13 points for the Nuggets, who lost for the second
time in the last five games against Utah. Denver forward Nene missed his
second straight game with a strained left hamstring.

Martin, who was acquired from New Jersey in the offseason, has averaged 15
points and 8.7 rebounds in his first three games in a Denver uniform.

The Nuggets are off until Monday when they visit the Jazz in the second game
of the home-and-home set.
