(Sports Network) – The New York Knicks were blown out in their home-opener on
Saturday, as they fell to the Boston Celtics 107-73 at Madison Square Garden.

Stephon Marbury was held to only 12 points and had six assists for the Knicks,
who suffered their worst loss in home opener in franchise history. Jamal
Crawford tallied 11 points for New York, which was playing for the first time
since dropping its season opener on Wednesday in Minnesota.

Mike Sweetney led the Knicks with 18 points during the loss to Boston.

Kurt Thomas had nine points and nine rebounds for the Knicks, while New York’s
Anfernee Hardaway did not play against Boston because of a strained right

Marbury has averaged 19.5 points and eight assists in New York’s first two
games of the season.

The Knicks are off until Tuesday when they host Allen Iverson and the
Philadelphia 76ers. Last season, the Knicks won three of their four meetings
with the Sixers.
