(Sports Network) – The New Jersey Nets were blown out by the Phoenix Suns,
112-80, on Saturday at Continental Airlines Arena.

Richard Jefferson finished with a game-high 24 points for the Nets, who have
lost two of their initial three games. They needed double overtime to post
their first win of the season in Chicago on Friday.

Ron Mercer delivered 13 points and Alonzo Mourning posted 12 for the Nets, who
have split the last eight meetings in the series.

Jefferson has averaged 23 points, 10.7 rebounds and six assists in his first
three games of the season.

The Nets are off until Tuesday when the host the Portland Trail Blazers. Last
season, New Jersey dropped both of its games with the Blazers.
