Toronto Raptors Team Report – November 8

=== Toronto Raptors Team Report – November 8 ===

(Sports Network) – Vince Carter drilled a tiebreaking three-pointer with 4.8
seconds remaining to lift the Toronto Raptors to a 101-97 victory over the
Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday at Air Canada Centre.

Carter finished with 25 points on 10-of-16 shooting to help the Raptors to
their first 3-0 start in franchise history. Unfortunately, only the 13,863 in
attendance were able to see it in person as the game was played in front of
the smallest home crowd in the club’s 10 years of existence.

Donyell Marshall added 16 points and nine rebounds off the bench while Jalen
Rose also had 16 points with eight boards. Toronto has back-to-back games with
over 100 points under new head coach Sam Mitchell after reaching the century
mark just four times all of last year.

Carter has averaged 17.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and five assists in Toronto’s
first three contests of the season, while Rose has registered 14.7 points and
4.3 boards per game.

The Raptors are off until Tuesday when they start a tough six-game road trip
against the Sacramento Kings. Toronto will also visit the Utah Jazz, Seattle
SuperSonics, Portland Trail Blazers, Los Angeles Clippers and Denver Nuggets
on the swing.
