(Sports Network) – The Indiana Pacers attempt to start a season with
five straight wins for the first time since joining the NBA in 1976, as they
host the Los Angeles Clippers tonight at Conseco Fieldhouse.

On Tuesday, Jermaine O’Neal poured in a team-high 22 points and Stephen
Jackson added 21, as Indiana hung on to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves,
102-101, at the Target Center.

Jamaal Tinsley collected 18 points with six assists and Fred Jones contributed
14 points for Indiana, which has started the season with four straight wins
for the first time since the 1989-90 campaign. Scot Pollard chipped in with
eight points and 11 boards for the Pacers, who nearly blew a 19-point lead.

Ron Artest did not play against Minnesota for the Pacers despite taking pre-
game warmups. He sat out the game with what the team dubbed a coach’s
decision. Artest is also expected to miss tonight’s contest as well.

The Pacers won their only contest at home this season, as they defeated the
Chicago Bulls, 100-90, on November 6th.

In 2003-04, Indiana swept its two meetings with the Clippers. Overall, the
