Los Angeles Lakers Team Report – November 10

=== Los Angeles Lakers Team Report – November 10 ===

(Sports Network) – The Los Angeles Lakers take aim at their third straight
win this evening when they continue their four-game road trip against the
Memphis Grizzlies at the FedExForum.

On Tuesday, Kobe Bryant poured in 31 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead
the Lakers to a 106-98 victory over the Hornets at New Orleans Arena. Bryant
only had eight field goals in the game, but went 14-of-14 from the free throw
line before fouling out with 3:40 left in the fourth quarter.

Caron Butler, acquired in the blockbuster deal that sent Shaquille O’Neal to
Miami, collected 23 points and nine boards for Los Angeles, which had to hold
on after building a 33-point lead in the third quarter. Chucky Atkins chipped
in 18 points and six assists for the Lakers, while Lamar Odom, also acquired
in the O’Neal deal, chipped in 12 points.

On the injury front, forward Jumaine Jones left Tuesday’s contest in the
second quarter with a right calf strain and did not return. He is questionable
for tonight’s affair.

Los Angeles, which will close its trip with stops in Orlando and Houston, is
1-1 away from home this season.

The Lakers split their four matchups with Memphis last season and have won
eight of the last 10 meetings. The Lakers are also 7-3 in their last 10 on the
Grizzlies court.
