Nuggets activate F Tskitishvili
Denver, CO (Sports Network) – The Denver Nuggets Wednesday activated
forward Nikoloz Tskitishvili from the injured list and will have the seven-
footer in uniform for Thursday’s game at the World Champion Detroit Pistons.
Tskitishvili missed the Nuggets’ first five games this season due to a
strained right hamstring. The fifth overall selection in the 2002 draft has
averaged 3.5 points and 2.0 rebounds in 120 games over the past two years.
To make room for Tskitishvili on the active roster, Denver placed guard Voshon
Leonard on the injured list. The sharpshooting guard had surgery Monday to
repair a torn left Achilles tendon which occurred during the Nuggets’ season-
opening loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on November 2.
Denver, which is off to a 1-4 start thus far, has also been without forward
Nene due to a hamstring strain. The 22-year-old has missed the team’s last
four contests and is expected to be out for at least one more week.
