(Sports Network) – Corliss Williamson scored seven of his 15 points in
overtime, leading the Philadelphia 76ers to a 108-100 win over the New Jersey
Nets on Wednesday at the Wachovia Center.
Allen Iverson, whose jumper tied the game with 7.2 seconds left in regulation,
paced the Sixers with 26 points and Marc Jackson added 19 in the win,
Philadelphia’s first in four games. The Sixers had lost three in a row after a
season-opening win at Boston. Kyle Korver had 15 points and rookie Andre
Iguodala added 11 in the triumph.
Iverson, who was 0-for-5 in the first half, needed a few stitches to repair a
cut on his head. Korver has a three-pointer in a every game this season for
Philadelphia. Kenny Thomas and Willie Green both had 10 points for the
76ers guard Aaron McKie exited Wednesday’s game in the third quarter with a
strained left rotator cuff. He’ll have an MRI on Thursday.
Iverson leads the 76ers in scoring (28.2 ppg) and assists (7.2 apg) in
Philadelphia’s first five games this season. Korver has averaged 10 points per
