(Sports Network) – The Miami Heat try to bounce back from their first loss of
the season, as they visit Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs tonight at the
SBC Center.

On Thursday, the Heat were soundly defeated by the Dallas Mavericks,113-93, at
AmericanAirlines Arena. Shaquille O’Neal had 22 points and 10 rebounds for the
Heat, who suffered their first loss in five games this season. O’Neal became
the 20th player in league history to reach the 22,000-point plateau.

Miami’s starting point guard Dwyane Wade added 20 points, eight rebounds and
five assists for the Heat, but left the game early with a sprained left ankle.
X-rays taken after the game were negative. Wade is questionable for tonight’s
contest.

The Heat are 2-0 on the road this season. Miami has posted victories at New
Jersey and at Washington.

Shaq has averaged 17.6 points and 8.2 rebounds in Miami’s first five games of
the season, while Wade has registered team-highs in points (25.6 ppg) and
assists (7.4 apg).

Last season, San Antonio swept its two meetings with the Heat. Overall, the
Spurs have won five straight and six of the last eight contests in this
series. Miami has lost six straight at San Antonio.
