(Sports Network) – Dirk Nowitzki scored a season-high 41 points and grabbed
10 rebounds to lead the Dallas Mavericks to a 113-93 win over the Miami Heat
on Thursday at AmericanAirlines Arena.

Nowitzki shot 12-of-24 from the field, including 4-of-7 from three-point
range, and was a perfect 13-of-13 from the free throw line for the Mavs, who
rebounded from their lone loss of the season on Tuesday night to improve to
5-1 this year.

Marquis Daniels added 22 points for Dallas, which was playing its first game
since placing guard Michael Finley on the injured list earlier in the day with
a sprained right ankle. Dallas activated guard Dan Dickau off the IL to
replace Finley. Dickau played four minutes and didn’t record a point against
the Heat.

Dallas has held its first six opponents under 100 points.

Nowitzki has averaged 28.7 points and 9.3 rebounds in his last three games.

The Mavs are off until Saturday when they visit the New Jersey Nets. Last
