(Sports Network) – The Heat suffered a 93-84 loss to the San Antonio Spurs on
Friday night at the SBC Center.

Shaquille O’Neal had 23 points and 21 rebounds for Miami, which played without
star guard Dwyane Wade, who is sidelined with a sprained left ankle. Miami,
which won its first four games of the season, has dropped two in a row.

Udonis Haslem and Rasual Butler each added 11 points, while Malik Allen and
Keyon Dooling each chipped in with 10.

Miami began the fourth quarter with a 16-5 spurt to pull within 77-76 with
4:40 remaining, but it never got over the hump. The Spurs responded with eight
straight points and essentially took control of the game.

Miami held a 48-35 advantage on the glass.

The Heat has a day off before hosting Milwaukee on Sunday.
