(Sports Network) – Phoenix came up short against Sacramento on Saturday
night, falling 113-111 at America West Arena.

Amare Stoudemire and Steve Nash each poured in 29 points for the Suns, who
have dropped two in a row after beginning the year with four straight wins.
Shawn Marion compiled 14 points and 15 rebounds, while Stoudemire finished
with nine boards in the loss.

The two teams were tied at 78-78 with four minutes left in the third quarter
before the Kings began to assume control near the conclusion of the period.
Darius Songalia scored four consecutive points to put Sacramento in front and
the Kings ended the stanza with an 88-82 cushion on two Bibby free throws with
15 seconds left.

Sacramento then embarked on a 12-5 run over the first four minutes of the
fourth quarter and grabbed a 100-87 advantage on Peja Stojakovic’s layup with
8:03 to go. The Suns fought back in the late minutes, but couldn’t get over
the hump.

Joe Johnson ended with 15 points for Phoenix.

The home team had won eight of the last nine and 11 of the last 13 in the
series heading into Saturday’s contest.

Phoenix has the next two days off before hitting the road to take on the
Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night.
