(Sports Network) – Tim Duncan posted game highs of 26 points and 18 rebounds
to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 103-88 victory over Atlanta on Saturday at
Philips Arena.

Duncan, who has posted a double-double in all six games this season, finished
10-of-20 from the field and blocked two shots.

Bruce Bowen went 5-for-5 from three-point range and finished with a career-
high 22 points for the Spurs, who have won five of their first six games to
begin the season. Radoslav Nesterovic, who had three blocks, netted 10 points
and 11 boards in the victory.

The Spurs connected on 3-of-5 shots from beyond the arc in the opening quarter
and led, 24-18, after 12 minutes. San Antonio went to the break with a 44-35
advantage.

Its lead grew to 77-60 after three quarters and the Spurs cruised to the easy
victory.

Brent Barry led San Antonio’s reserves with 13 points. Meanwhile, his brother
Jon tallied nine points for the Hawks.

San Antonio has a few days off before hosting the New York Knicks on Tuesday
night.
