=== New Jersey Nets Team Report – November 16 ===

(Sports Network) – The New Jersey Nets lost their third straight game, as
they were defeated by the Houston Rockets, 80-69, on Monday at Continental
Airlines Arena.

Richard Jefferson compiled 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Nets, who fell
for the third consecutive time. Alonzo Mourning amassed 15 points, eight
boards and four blocks in the loss.

New Jersey, which entered Monday’s contest as the league’s second-lowest
scoring team, continued to struggle on the offensive end. The Nets shot a
dismal 30.7 percent from the floor to waste a 53-34 advantage on the glass.

With the loss to Houston, New Jersey fell to 1-4 at home on the year.

New Jersey guard Ron Mercer underwent successful knee surgery on Monday and is
expected to miss six-to-eight weeks.

Jefferson has averaged 26 points and 10.3 rebounds in his last three games.

The Nets are off until Wednesday when they host the Seattle SuperSonics. Last
season, New Jersey swept the two meetings between the two clubs.
