Jazz activate Arroyo from IL
Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) – The Utah Jazz activated point guard Carlos
Arroyo from the injured list Tuesday.
Arroyo missed Utah’s first six games after spraining his left ankle in the
final game of the preseason. He is expected to be in the lineup for Tuesday’s
game against the Charlotte Bobcats.
The Jazz have still thrived in his absence, going 5-1.
Arroyo averaged 12.1 points and five assists in his first season as a full-
time starter with the Jazz. He became the fifth Puerto Rican in history to
play in the NBA when he debuted for the Toronto Raptors in 2001-02.
Rookie forward Kris Humphries was placed on the injured list with right knee
patella tendinitis to open up a roster spot for Arroyo.
