(Sports Network) – Eddie Jones scored 27 points, including nine during a key
stretch in the third quarter, as the Miami Heat held off the Milwaukee Bucks,
113-106, on Wednesday at the Bradley Center.
Shaquille O’Neal tallied a season-high 26 points, seven rebounds and six
assists for the Heat, who have won two of three after dropping two straight.
Dwyane Wade added 18 points and seven assists for Miami, which used a 21-7 run
in the third quarter to build a 19-point lead.
Wade fouled out for the first time in his NBA career. Wade was hit with a
technical after jawing with the officials when heading to the bench. Miami
ended a two-game road slide and improved to 3-2 as the visitor.
Jones has scored in double-digits in just four of Miami’s nine games this
season. He is averaging 11.3 points per game.
The Heat are off until Friday when they host Carlos Boozer and the Utah Jazz.
Last season, the teams split a pair of contests.
