(Sports Network) – With Ben Wallace and Chauncey Billups back on the court
and head coach Larry Brown back on the sidelines, the Pistons returned to
their winning ways on Wednesday night, tallying a 93-85 victory over Minnesota
at the Palace of Auburn Hills.

Billups, who had been sidelined for two games with a sprained ankle, scored 19
of his 21 points in the second half to lead Detroit to the win. Wallace
recorded seven points and 10 rebounds after missing a pair of games due to the
death of his brother. Wallace failed to record a double-double for the first
time this season.

Detroit went 2-3 under assistant Gar Heard in Brown’s absence for hip surgery.
Brown considered staying away from the sideline for one more game to recover,
but decided to give it a go at the last minute. He limped to the bench during
pregame introductions to the delight of the Palace crowd.

Richard Hamilton was 11-of-14 from the foul line to net a game-high 24 points
for the Pistons in the win. Tayshaun Prince also had a big game for Detroit,
shooting 9-of-13 for 19 points.

Billups reached the 6,000-point plateau for his career.

The Pistons have a day off before hosting the arch-rival Indiana Pacers on
Friday night.
