New York Knicks Team Report – November 19

=== New York Knicks Team Report – November 19 ===

(Sports Network) – The New York Knicks hope to get back to .500 this evening
when they conclude a four-game road trip against the Dallas Mavericks at the
AmericanAirlines Center.

On Thursday, Jamal Crawford drained a three-pointer as time expired to lift
New York to a 93-92 win over the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center.

Crawford finished with 19 points and eight assists for the Knicks, who came
back from an 11-point deficit to start the fourth quarter and improved to 1-2
on their trek. Kurt Thomas added 23 points and 14 rebounds, hitting a pair of
key baskets down the stretch, as New York bounced back from an 18-point loss
to the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday.

Houston’s Tracy McGrady missed a running jumper with 2.9 seconds left that
would have sealed it for Houston and gave the Knicks a final chance to win.
After a timeout, Anfernee Hardaway inbounded in the Knicks’ offensive end of
the court. He found Crawford coming off a pick and the guard took one dribble
and banked a running three to give the Knicks their first road win in four
chances this season.

Crawford finished shooting 7-of-18 from the field, including 5-of-11 from
beyond the arc.

Since NBA expansion to Dallas in 1980, New York has done the “Texas Triangle”
— three consecutive road games at Dallas, Houston and San Antonio — 12
times. The Knicks have swept the Texas Triangle twice, won two games once, won
one game five times and were swept four times – including in their last trip
in 2001-02.

Their overall record in Texas Triangle games is 14-23.

Last season the Knicks lost both matchups with the Mavs and have dropped five
straight in the series. New York has also lost four straight and six of its
last seven in Dallas.
