Warriors’ Richardson expected to play Saturday
Oakland, CA (Sports Network) – Golden State Warriors guard Jason Richardson
has a torn tendon below the pinkie finger on his right hand and will
eventually need surgery. Richardson has missed the last two days of practice,
but is expected to play in Saturday’s game against Memphis.
He will be examined by a hand specialist on Monday. The 23-year-old Richardson
is averaging 18.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists in nine games this
season for Golden State.
A Michigan State product, Richardson was drafted by the Warriors in the
first round (fifth overall) of the 2001 NBA Draft.
