=== Los Angeles Lakers Team Report – November 20 ===

(Sports Network) – The Los Angeles Lakers found themselves on the losing end
of a 107-102 decision on Friday against the Phoenix Suns at the Staples

Kobe Bryant had just three points in the first half and missed his first 11
shots, but finished the game with a triple-double. Bryant had 26 second-half
points and ended with 29 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists.

The Suns led 88-78 with 6 1/2 minutes left in the game after a three-point
play by Shawn Marion. But the Lakers roared back, and a Caron Butler three-
pointer knotted the game at 94 apiece.

The game was a see-saw affair the rest of the way.

Butler hit two free throws to put the Lakers up 99-98 with one minute left.

But Amare Stoudamire, off a nice feed by Steve Nash, hit a layup and was
fouled by Butler. The free throw put the Suns ahead 101-99 with 45 seconds

Bryant then missed a three-pointer with 38 seconds left, and Luke Walton
fouled Casey Jacobsen hit 1-of-2 free throws to put the Suns up 102-99.

Bryant missed another three-pointer, and Nash got the loose ball and fed a
streaking Marion, who hit a layup and was fouled with 21 seconds left. He hit
the free throw to put Phoenix up 105-99, and that ended the suspense.

The Lakers return to action on Sunday when they welcome the Chicago Bulls to
town. LA won both matchups with the Bulls last season, but have split the last
six meetings. Chicago, though, has lost two in a row and six of its last seven
in LA.
