Warriors’ Richardson endures through finger injury
Oakland, CA (Sports Network) – Golden State guard Jason Richardson
played 42 minutes and scored 13 points in the Warriors’ 100-87 loss to Memphis
Richardson has a torn tendon below the pinkie finger on his right hand
and will eventually need surgery. He had missed the last two days of practice.
He will be examined by a hand specialist on Monday. The 23-year-old Richardson
is averaging 18.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists in nine games this
season for Golden State.
A Michigan State product, Richardson was drafted by the Warriors in the
first round (fifth overall) of the 2001 NBA Draft.
