New Orleans Hornets Team Report – November 21

=== New Orleans Hornets Team Report – November 21 ===

(Sports Network) – The Hornets remained winless this season after a 99-94
setback at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday.

The 0-8 record for New Orleans under new head coach Byron Scott extends the
worst start in franchise history. It also marks the longest losing streak for
the Hornets in 11 years.

Lee Nailon led the Hornets with a season-high 21 points off the bench, while
David Wesley added 14 points and four assists for New Orleans, which is eight
games under .500 for first time since 98-99.

Minnesota led 46-37 at the intermission, and extended it to 70-60 entering the
final 12 minutes. In the fourth, the Timberwolves extended the lead to as many
as 16, at 78-62, on a Fred Hoiberg jumper with just under nine minutes left.
But Newly acquired Matt Freije of the Hornets made things a bit interesting in
the waning moments, as he canned a trio of three- pointers down the stretch to
get the crowd on its feet.

New Orleans managed to get to the foul line 15 times in this game, making 11,
after tying an NBA record Saturday by attempting just two shots from the
charity stripe against the Bucks.

The Hornets will once again try for their first win on Monday when they start
a five-game road trip against the Utah Jazz.
